Future Way Margarite Batease is a natural healer, working at soul level. She taught me some of the core methods of spiritual healing I use in my practice today. Her unique energy creates a vehicle for 'soul path clearing'. This allows the recipient to evolve at an accelerated rate. Okay you decided to walk down a spiritual path and your 'significant other' hasn't caught up with you. May be kicking and screaming. You want them to change because you are changed. You may need to seek marriage counseling.
Conscious, committed partnerships are rare today because marriage is hard work. The "Imago" is the unconscious composite image of our mothers and fathers that we bring into our marriages. It is the shadow energy that goes unconscious in childhood; and shows up in our marriage asking for healing.
When not addressed couples create power struggles and control dramas trying to get these unresolved childhood needs met. We recreate these dynamics in all of our relationships (marriage, children, friendships). It takes strength and courage to commit, to love and to not walk away. In my soul retrieval work with clients the wounds of divorce are great and may last a lifetime so I am a strong supporter of the Imago process. Marriage cannot be analyzed by theorists and practiced on clients without the spiritual component. Marriage is a spiritual path and the essential first step is for each partner to say:
I will never leave you. I will never threaten to leave you. And if even the thought of leaving takes root in my mind, I will use whatever means necessary to eradicate it. And no matter how often it recurs, I will return my mind to my single purpose in this relationship. If you are in a relationship with someone you love, and you call my office for guidance I will refer you to an Imago trained therapist and recommend attending Imago's weekend program "Getting the Love You Want" facilitated by Rick Brown. Psychotherapy: The shamanic counseling I offer to you may come at the beginning, middle or at the end of your therapy. Shamanic healing and coaching is a spiritual method of divination; a system that follows ancient principles of shamanism, not of psychology or other Western systems. It is not derived from one specific cultural or ethnic tradition, but is based on core principles and especially adapted for use in contemporary society. This method of spiritual healing has as its goal life-enlightenment, not the treatment of psychopathology or pathological diseases. It is a process developed and taught Dr. Michael Harner through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.
A shamanic practitioner trained in core shamanism journeys to the beat of a drum or rattle- no mind altering drugs are used. Shamanism is a problem-solving system for discovering one's own spiritual power and the wisdom to deal successfully with daily life.
During the sessions, Michele may act as an adjunct practitioner alongside your regular on-going medical or therapy program. In such cases, the Michele honors the therapist/doctor as the primary relationship, and seeks to enhance and never interfere with that process. In this regard it is sometimes necessary to refer clients to a therapist to integrate their psychological issues- this is a co-creative process. To go into the shamanic state of consciousness one must be well grounded in their body, mind and spirit.
